Hi, I'm Kris...welcome! 

 

I work with mission-driven teams, rising leaders and purposeful career changers to increase their self-awareness, significantly grow their capacity to lead, and work in a way that is aligned with their values.

​

I approach my work through the lens of equity and inclusion and consistently integrate these principles into my practice. One way I do this is by ensuring my clients can safely explore and honor the breadth and contours of their lives and identities (race, class, gender, etc), while helping them bring awareness to their unconscious social conditioning. 

​

I love working with rising leaders because I have seen how coaching provides a real platform to help them access the next level in their organizations. In particular I work to ensure my coaching reaches people who have been historically left out of leadership opportunities. Currently 68% of my clients identify as a person of color, and 35% identify as LGBTQ+. 

​

My Background and Credentials

Prior to launching my practice, I spent nearly 20 years in the nonprofit sector serving in a variety of roles focused on hiring and growing leaders, and shaping and designing cultures that center equity and belonging and helped people feel valued, loved, and challenged to grow.  Some of the organizations where I did this work include Project Inform, James Morehouse Project, Education Pioneers, Teach for America and Beyond 12. My Coaching Philosophy

I provide a platform for rising leaders to elevate their voice and step towards the next level of leadership at work. As they gain more access for themselves, they in turn create more access for others around them, like ripples in water, ultimately impacting the organizational and societal systems and injustices that limit access in the first place.

My Core Values

Connection:  Operate from a deep belief in our collective and shared humanity; listen with empathy, curiosity, and care; hold space for people to be fully themselves.

Growth:  Approach things with a sense of possibility and optimism; lean into discomfort and vulnerability and look for ways to always maximize learning.

Justice:  Pursue justice and fight for it in all forms; acknowledge the impact of historical and present-day systems of oppression and use what I have to honor and elevate people who have historically been left out or marginalized.
